A belated thanks to all the players who participated in the 3V3 Ice Hockey Christmas Cup on Saturday, December 10th. Great work by all 6 teams (Wizards, Phoenix, Bootnecks, Kings, Rock Stars, Eclipse) and congratulations to the champions, the Plymouth Phoenix , who were unbeaten and won the Cup.
Absolute great performance and a well-deserved win. Well done
The event was an absolute success with all teams working very hard at all times. Well done, players, and thanks to all the fans for their great support. A special thanks goes to the Plymouth Pavilions staff who helped make this event take place.

Undoubtedly the best match was the first one where team Devon wins a close match against team Dorset 10-9. Right from the start, this was good quality challenger level hockey and terrific excitement for everyone watching

Team Plymouth Rock Stars WINNERS
The Major Cup trophy saw 3 teams Plymouth Eclipse, Plymouth Phoenix and Plymouth Rock Stars compete in a 2 round-robin competition with some very close matchups along the way. The top two teams, Phoenix and Rock Stars had to get through 2 previous matches to make the final where Rock Stars had found their rhythm and wasn’t going to let anyone knock them out of it, winning 3 – 1.

Team Plymouth Rock Stars CUP WINNERS
The tournament featured two competitions – an entry-level event featuring teams from Devon and Cornwall and an advance event.
Plymouth Rock Stars team made up of Tomas Kocis, Ben Leach and Owen Bottery won the advance tournament ahead of Paignton Dragon and Plymouth Eclipse.
Team Cornwall, made up of Ben Martin, Jamie Edwards, Paul Sewry and Harry Crosbie, won the entry-level competition.
“It was inspirational to watch the players enthusiasm and determination for the game.
“For many, it was a great opportunity to play again after a long break and also experience the three-on-three mini-goals style format.
“Each team displayed grit and determination to be the worthy winners.”

BRITISH REGIONAL ICE-INLINE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
BRIHA expects that all players participating display good sportsmanship & respect teammates, opposition players & officials. Regardless of the level of competition, we are all participating in social adult hockey & here to enjoy the sport.
The League brings together a mixture of players and varying levels of skill. The season runs all year long and BRIHA Hockey utilises IIHF rules and is strictly no body checking & officiated in this manner.
